Scope of Services
Healing Lab offers biofield energy healing, which is a complementary practice distinct from medicine, psychology, or any other licensed health care. We are not physicians, psychologists, or other licensed health care providers, and do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.
Energy healing services are offered in accordance with the California Health Care Freedom Act (SB 577) and Sections 2053.5 and 2053.6 of California’s Business and Professions Code, which allow unlicensed complementary health practices when clear disclosures are provided.
Energy healing is complementary to Western medicine, and is not a substitute for licensed medical care. The “healing” experienced with energy healing is distinct and different from the practice of medicine, psychology, and other licensed health care practices.
About the Biofield
The biofield is understood to be the body’s natural energy field. The theory behind energy healing is that living cells generate this biofield, its condition influences physical and emotional well-being, and adjusting the biofield can promote health. These ideas are not yet accepted within conventional Western medicine, though ongoing research seeks to better understand them.

Healing Lab offers a text message check-in program for clients. If you give verbal consent during an appointment, we send automated text messages asking for your pain level for a period following your session, and we reply to messages you send us.
Message frequency is up to one message per day. Message and data rates may apply.
To stop the messages, reply STOP. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages. For help, reply HELP or contact us through our website.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Participation is not a condition of receiving any Healing Lab service.
